Hey there creators! Welcome back to The Best Games to Stream Right Now for May 2021! This month, we are pulling out some classics that have sequels or updates that bring a fresh take to the game! All of the suggestions work for story based creators and for those that like to integrate chat into their content! Take a look below!
Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Village is the eighth installment in the Resident Evil series. If you create content around Resident Evil or the horror genre, this is a natural addition to your overall content.
Story based creators will find a good story, rooted in the Resident Evil universe. It has a very similar look and feel to Resident Evil 4, which many loved even though it strayed far from the original games. Creators making content with this game should look at doing a playthrough with their community and take advantage of the open-world-esque feel that the game gives. Use chat to determine different directions you go or how to handle each boss. It makes the story interactive to the community and gives you challenges to not make everything so straight forward.
But also…Lady Dimitrescu.
Subnautica: Below Zero
Subnautica: Below Zero is the direct sequel to the original Subnautica game. The goal is simple. You return to Planet 4546B, survive the harsh conditions by crafting tools, building areas to stay warm, and finding the truth behind a huge cover-up. Like the original, using the environment to scavenge and survive the natural animals of the planet are key to your survival.
Games like Subnautica are great because chat can interact fully with the game and you can immerse them easily. There is no real wrong way to play Subnautica. You can explore, get supplies, fight off creatures, follow the story. You can use Twitch Channel Points to let people suggest what you do or how you handle each scenario. There are a lot of cool ways to bring chat into the story and they might put you into some really awkward positions, which is great for content!
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
One of the most well known and critically acclaimed games is making a return. Mass Effect is receiving a remaster at 4K Ultra HD in the new Mass Effect Legendary Edition. You can relive all of the Mass Effect story and DLC in this one bundle.
Mass Effect paved the way for some of the most popular games out there. It was the pioneer of story telling with a deep attachment to player choices and decisions. Replaying this classic is a surefire way to bring in new viewers looking for that nostalgia kick. Best of all, you have all of the games AND the 40 DLCs to play through, which gives you a steady stream of content and gameplay to go over. For anyone in the Sci-Fi genre or just general story based games, this is a no brainer on picking up.
This month has a ton of awesome games getting amazing sequels or remasters! Games like Resident Evil and Subnautica are building on their predecessors and bringing a new look and feel to their series. Meanwhile, Mass Effect is coming back in beautiful 4K Ultra HD for those that loved the series and want to return to that amazing series.
