Q: The Webaround leans back on my chair, how do I fix it?

  • The Webaround leans back on my chair, how do I fix it?
    • Adjust the bottom nylon strap or if needed, add the Webaround stabilizer box.
      • To use the Webaround stabilizer box
        • Fold the box according to the directions on the box.

    1. Hold the Webaround directly in front, with hands place on either side of the wide black or colored strap.
    2. Bring hands together, folding the Webaround almost in half.
    3. Twist wrists toward each other and the Webaround will start to coil itself.
    4. Bring the bottom coil up to meet the already coiled part.
    5. Place the Webaround in provided bag for storage and to stop the Webaround from opening.

  • I don’t look my best… what can I do to look better?
    1. Move the camera to eye level.
      • If using the camera built into the laptop, move the camera to eye level by raising the height of the laptop.  This can be done quickly by placing a box, books or any other stable material under the laptop.  Make sure to remove the items from under the laptop after using to prevent it from overheating.  Investing in a laptop stand with proper aeration is also a good solution.
      • If using a camera built into the desktop monitor, move the camera to eye level by raising the height of the monitor.  This can be done by manually adjusting the monitor stand height.  If the monitor does not have an adjustable stand or if the proper height cannot be achieved with this method– place a box, books, or any other stable material under the laptop.  Investing in a monitor stand is another good solution.
      • If using an external camera, such as a Logitech webcam, move the camera to eye level by placing it on a stand, shelf, or using another method.
      • If using a smartphone or tablet, move the camera to eye level by holding it at eye level or by placing it on a stand, shelf, or using another method.
  • I bought a Webaround, how do I change my background from blue to green to something else?
    • There are numerous free and paid chroma key software programs available online, in app stores, some even come installed on your computer or device.  Chroma keying is an easy method to combine two images by replacing a color in one image with that from the another image.  Here are a few of the most popular software programs.

  1. I have the Big Shot, and have watched many videos on how to fold it up, but it will not work, and I’m unable to fold it to store it. Can you please help? Otherwise, I’ll have to throw it out, as it won’t fit in my car fully opened. Thank you.

    1. Hi Julie! Sometimes during shipping, the spring steel will shift around within the Webaround. Try rotating the Webaround 90 degrees and follow the instructions you saw in the video. The connection point should fold from there and you will be good to go!

  2. I would like the cross strap to sit higher on the chair – it keeps slipping to the bottom of the sides and then cuts off the upper right corners. Tightening the strap is not working. Is there anything I can do to make it sit at the very top of the chair back?

    1. Hello Pam,

I’m not sure which Webaround you have, but re-positioning the integrated stabilizer should help with this issue. Try watching our tutorial videos on on YouTube channel or watch them from our website, here: https://thewebaround.com/tips/

  3. I have a 2015 light gray webaround screen. Can this screen be “chroma keyed” to work like a green screen? Please advise, thank you.

    1. Hello Nat,

Thanks for your message! Unfortunately, chroma-key works best with our green Webarounds. The Fan Favorite (https://thewebaround.com/product/the-fan-favorite/) and Big Shot (https://thewebaround.com/product/the-big-shot/) are great choices for chroma-key backgrounds. Your grey Webaround is great for providing a clean, consistent, and distraction free background when using your Webcam.

      Take care!
