Hello creators! We are back once again with some of the best games you to stream right now for October 2020. With this month being Halloween, this is a great opportunity to put some scary or spooky games into your regular gaming rotation. It helps break up the same-old-same-old feel of the content if you are in a specific niche, but also can be a fun transition for the community. Plus, who doesn’t like a good jump scare? We found three classic games that will sure to get your chat (and your heart) going.
Phasmophobia
Phasmophobia is a 4 player, cooperative horror game where you and your team are paranormal investigators. Your goal is to enter haunted locations with a lot of paranormal activity and gather as much evidence as possible so that you can pass it along to a ghost removal team.
Phasmophobia is unique because of the features it brings together for a $14 Steam game. To start, it is both a standard PC game and VR enabled. Therefore, you can add to the immersion quickly with this game by strapping on that VR headset. You also have full voice recognition within the game, meaning you can talk to the ghosts through EVP sessions, ouija boards, etc.. With it being a co-op game, you can easily bring in your community for game nights and just have fun hunting ghosts and probably getting scared pretty bad in the process. Enjoy!
Doki Doki Literature Club
Do not let Doki Doki Literature Club fool you. On the outside, it poses as a simple visual novel about a school literature club. But it holds so so much more behind the scenes.
If you are into single player experiences, then this is right up your alley for a good Halloween game. Your community will have a great time riding along with you as you experience the story and learn that you can’t judge a book by its cover. We won’t say more.
Outlast
Outlast is a horror classic through and through. More than likely, you’ve seen your favorite creator make a run through Outlast and its sequel. The main focus is that you are a reporter trying to explore an asylum with a lot of bad rumors and scary stories coming from it. You find out very quickly that they all might be true.
This is a single player experience, but a great one to do with a community. There are times where you’ll find yourself not wanting to move and the game does a great job of forcing you into uncomfortable positions. Combined with the fact that you have limited battery for a light or your camera! This game is a staple in the horror genre and if you haven’t given it a go yourself, it is a great time!
This month is a perfect time to get your scary games on and enjoy some horror games with your community. Games like Phasmophobia are a new addition to the genre and have a lot of traction going in the category. If you can break through the noise, its a surefire hit! If you want to throw it back though, Doki Doki and Outlast are great, proven horror classics that are fun for the viewer and the player. You can’t go wrong with either or all three!
