The Best Games to Stream Right Now (August 2021)

Hello creators! Welcome back to the Best Games to Stream Right Now for August 2021! The summer grind is quickly coming to an end as your viewers will start to get ready to get back into the school year. Use this last month (or couple days depending on where you are) to grab that attention of casual viewers and lock them in as community members!

Pokemon Unite

Pokemon Unite is a new MOBA that plays a lot like League of Legends or Vainglory. The goal in Pokemon Unite is to defeat NPC Pokemon and score points as you push your opponents back and keep them from scoring. There is a lot of strategy that goes into the game, but the general idea is to score and evolve, while limiting your opponents.

As a Pokemon or MOBA creator, this could be a wonderful opportunity to expand into another game or continue to cater content to your core audience with a new title. The game is live on the Nintendo Switch currently, but will go live on mobile in September. This could be awesome as well if you are a mobile creator to add another massive mobile game to your playlist!

Splitgate

What do you get when you mix Halo and Portal into one game? Welcome to Splitgate!

Splitgate uses portals and advanced movements to destroy and move across the map. If you find a person camping, you can put a portal up near them and shoot a rocket into the portal next to you and blow them up. Or you can traverse across the map using portals to get to a better vantage point. The possibilities are endless. Splitgate is free to play and a first person shooter, so if you are sick of the constant hacking of Warzone or can’t wait for Halo Infinite to drop, this is one to check out.

Splitgate is unique because it offers a wide variety of ways to play the game. Give it a go and learn the ropes. Once you are versed in the portal transport system, you should be hitting insane clips that you can then share on social. Good luck!

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

Don’t worry story game creators, we didn’t forget you!

As we all wait for Breath of the Wild 2, Nintendo has released the HD version of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. This game was massively successful on the Wii, featuring a fleshed out motion control system that allows you block and attack using the Wiimotes. Now on the Switch, you use this same system with enhanced graphics for a great Legend of Zelda experience.

Breath of the Wild brought in a new wave of Legend of Zelda players, so this is a great opportunity to play Skyward Sword if you’ve never tackled some of the older Legend of Zelda games. It is also a great way to hold off for new information on Breath of the Wild 2, though that is slated to come much later in the future. Give this title a go if you want a great story in Legend of Zelda and use it as a way to bring in those viewers interested in Breath of the Wild 2 when it finally drops.

Summer is winding down and making sure you bring in as many people to the stream is critical. People will begin to go back to school after summer break, so their time to watch Twitch or other content will be limited. Getting them involved in your community now will ensure you are one of the people they continue to tune into as their time gets eaten up with real-world responsibilities! Games like Pokemon Unite and Splitgate will target a specific niche of MOBA or FPS players with a fresh game, while Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will tackle the story players or those that created a content schedule around Nintendo titles.

If you have other games that you think should be on the list , let us know in the comments! We might feature them on our next article!

Thanks for reading and as always, keep on creating and GLHF!
